The Pennsylvania native is releasing a book on Tuesday entitled, “Keeping the Republic: Saving America by Trusting Americans.” The chapter of most interest, and prompting the speculation, is the last and named after an oft uttered slogan of his; “Change That Believes in You.” Where have I heard that before?
In those 38 pages he lays out the campaign he would have run had he been running. The book aims to keep him and his ideas on the economy in the national conversation. His reforms centre around Social Security and Medicare and believes that means testing should be at the fore.
Whilst Daniels’ decision not to run is still a surprise to yours truly he would be a good choice for VP for someone like Perry. However, a pairing with Romney would perhaps not spread the net far enough into the grassroots. He is, after all, a sensible and more moderate individual than perhaps doesn’t stir the Tea Party faction quite like a Bachmann or Perry.
As on wether he would definitevly consider a VP run he said: “I don’t rule anything out, I suppose.”
